Our People

We employ over 30,000 people in depots, stations and offices, providing vital services which connect people and communities. Our people are at the heart of our business, and we are extremely proud of the way they have kept customers moving during the pandemic.

The business imperative

FirstGroup is a leading UK transport operator providing easy and convenient mobility, improving quality of life by connecting people and communities. We are committed to increasing the diversity of our workforce to better understand and meet the needs of the diverse customers and communities we serve. We recognise that attracting and retaining people with different backgrounds and experiences requires an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued and respected. We provide training, development, apprenticeship, rewards and benefits to colleagues along with fair wages and access to wellbeing initiatives. These are vital to ensure we have a happy, healthy workforce.
