Louise Cheeseman, Managing Director of Hull Trains, is leaving FirstGroup on 12 July 2021 to pursue other opportunities. Louise has been in her current role since June 2018, having started in the rail industry in 2001.
Commenting, Steve Montgomery, First Rail Managing Director said:
“During Louise’s time as Managing Director of Hull Trains she successfully oversaw the introduction of a new fleet of state-of-the-art bi-mode trains, significantly improving reliability and transforming the customer experience. She also guided the business safely through the uncertainty of coronavirus, including a successful return to service following a period when we had to suspend operations. Louise leaves Hull Trains in a strong position and I’d like to thank her for her significant contribution to the business.”
Andy Mellors, Managing Director of Non-Franchised Businesses for First Rail who oversees the Group’s open access railways and tram operations, will lead Hull Trains while a successor to Louise is found.
