TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – As we enter college football season, First Transit announces its continued partnership with the University of Alabama, reigning national champion. First Transit provides campus bus and shuttle services throughout campus and the surrounding area. First Transit is the leading provider of campus transportation solutions in North America.
The service, known as Crimson Ride, provides transportation for the more than 37,000 students of the university and three million annual riders. In addition to the campus shuttle, First Transit and Crimson Ride support campus bus transportation for all University of Alabama home football games at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
“Our team of 75 drivers, supervisors, technicians and managers are ready for students to return to class on August 17,” said Amanda Suddath, general manager, First Transit. “We are proud of the customer experience on Crimson Ride, helping students and faculty get around campus.”
The university recently extended its nine-year partnership with First Transit to provide safe, reliable and efficient campus transportation. First Transit will provide management, staffing and operations for the Crimson Ride bus transportation system, including 51 buses owned by the university.
