- First Aberdeen’s Jonathan Welch, 2014’s ‘Bus Driver of the Year’, received the runner-up award and best competitor from a depot in Scotland.
- First Scotland East’s Colin Henderson finished third overall.
- First Aberdeen’s Adam Ksiazek finished fourth overall.
- First Greater Manchester’s Timothy Clarke, placed seventh.
- First Cymru’s Peter Mascall was awarded best competitor from Wales.
In what is considered the ‘Top Gear’ of the bus world, First Bus drivers celebrated success at this year’s UK Bus Driver of the Year awards, after four drivers placed within the top 10, which includes the runner-up award and best competitors from Wales and Scotland.
First Aberdeen’s, Jonathan Welch – who was Bus Driver of the Year 2014 – received the second place prize this year, and was also awarded the Joe Mackie Shield for the best competitor from a depot in Scotland.
First Bus drivers also placing within the top 10 included Colin Henderson from First Scotland East (third place), Adam Ksiazek from First Aberdeen (fourth place), and Timothy Clarke from First Greater Manchester (seventh place). Peter Mascall from First Cymru was also awarded best competitor from Wales.

The 50th National Final of the UK Bus Driver of the Year Competition took place in Blackpool on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th September, with 114 finalists competing from bus operators throughout the country.
