First Essex is calling on people to take a leap of faith and sign up for a skydive in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.
From Monday, February 24 until Friday, May 9, people are being encouraged to dig deep and donate to the hospice to win a skydive*.
First Essex will host the online auction and the highest bidder will receive a place on the jump at Peterborough Airfield in Cambridgeshire on Saturday, June 14.
St Luke’s Hospice supports people living in Basildon, Thurrock and the surrounding areas who are facing life with, or are affected by, any advanced life threating illness. Care and support extends beyond patients to their family, their children, friends and carers throughout the patients illness and then in their bereavement.
Ed Pearce, Events and Challenges Fundraiser for St Luke’s Hospice, said: “This Skydive is a great way to take part in an exciting challenge as well as raise funds for St. Luke’s Hospice. We’re proud to be involved with First and are looking forward to working with them on many other events in the future.”
Chelsea de Silva, Creative Director at First East England, said: “We are proud to support St Luke’s Hospice and the exceptional work they do.
“This is a special opportunity for someone to raise money for charity in an exciting way.”
Transport to the jump will be provided by First.
