Shoppers in Essex will have the chance to find out more about why it’s better to travel by bus at two special events later this month.
Members of staff from First Essex will be at Higher Chelmer shopping centre on Wednesday, April 16 and Thursday, April 24 from 8.30am until 5.30pm.
People will be able to find out more about Catch the Bus Week - a national initiative which runs from Monday, April 28 until Friday, May 2. To celebrate, the firm is offering passengers 20pc off all weekly tickets purchased on First Essex’s services.
Passengers in the area will be able to find out about bus services in their area, special offers and how First works closely with the local community.
Chelsea De Silva, Creative Director at First East England, said: “This is a great opportunity for people to find out about our services in Essex. Choosing the bus has a multitude of benefits – it’s greener and more economic. Travelling by bus accounts for two thirds of public transport journeys in the UK.
“I would encourage as many people as possible to visit our stand to find out more about services in Essex.”
