Generous bus passengers in Norfolk have donated more than 30 Easter eggs to children and staff at East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
Passengers donated unboxed Easter eggs at First's bus depots in Norwich and Great Yarmouth in exchange for a network day ticket.
The chocolate treats will be given to the children and their families at the charity’s hospice in Quidenham.
Gary Cook, EACH Norfolk Fundraiser, said: “We really appreciate First thinking of us with this initiative and to their customers for supporting it. The eggs will certainly be enjoyed at our Norfolk Quidenham Hospice. EACH plays a vital role in the local community for local life threatened children, young people and their families. Like EACH public transport plays a central role in the local community too and we’ve very much enjoyed working with the team at First and look forward to continuing working together.”
Lee Howes, operations manager at First’s Norwich depot, said: “We are very grateful to our generous passengers who have donated the treats to the hospice.
“First fully supports EACH and the great work that they do in the region. The charity offers round-the-clock care for children in need and their families.”
