An Executive Secretary at bus company, First Scotland East, is in the running to be crowned the best in Scotland after making a shortlist of three ahead of the Annual Conference and Awards for Executive Secretaries and PAs in Scotland on June 6.
Alison Hall has worked for First Scotland East at its Larbert headquarters for more than nine years providing support to senior management and was ‘surprised and delighted’ to have made the shortlist.
The 46 year old mother of two lives in Stirling and is studying for the Chartered Institute of Management award in her own time.
Alison said: “I’m really delighted and very surprised that I’ve been shortlisted – it’s a real boost to my confidence. My role at First Scotland East has evolved over the years, but I’ve always worked hard and tried to do my best. We have a fantastic team and it’s a pleasure to work alongside them.”
Alison’s boss is Paul McGowan, Managing Director of First Scotland East. He said: “In more than twenty years as a Managing Director in the bus industry Alison is by far the most efficient, professional and dedicated Executive Assistant I have worked with.
“We’ve got an exceptional team here at First Scotland East all committed to improving our services and encouraging more people on to our buses. Alison’s support is invaluable.”
The 7th Annual Conference and Awards for Executive Secretaries, PAs and Administrators takes place on Friday, June 6th, in Edinburgh. Alison will attend the event.
