FirstGroup’s Reward Manager, Aberdeen based Lisa Proctor, was recognised last month at a national benefits management event in London. She was named in the ‘Hot 100 Benefits Managers for 2013’ and was one of only two representatives from Scottish companies that featured on the exclusive list (the other being a Macduff based company).
The ‘Hot 100’ recognises the leading players in the benefits industry and the work they do within their organisations to provide employees with high quality benefits and rewards packages. Lisa joined professionals from Santander, BT Group, HSBC, Asda and KPMG in the Hot 100.
“It was a very pleasant surprise to feature in such a prestigious list,” said Lisa. “The Rewards we provide to our colleagues at FirstGroup, are the best the transport industry has to offer. Inclusion in the ‘Hot 100’ is a reflection of the excellent package that FirstGroup provides.”
John Chilman, FirstGroup’s Head of Rewards and Pensions, said: “‘It is wonderful to be recognised nationally by our peers for all the hard work Lisa and our small team undertakes and the dedication they continuously show to providing a multi-award winning Reward & Pensions package.”
This is the most recent recognition for First’s Reward and Pensions Team. In 2011 the company picked up the award for the ‘Most Effective benefits strategy for organisations with more than 1,000 staff’ after previously wining ‘Most effective Share Scheme Strategy for a Large Employer’ at the Employee Benefits Awards and ‘Most Effective Communication of an Employee Share Plan’ at the ifsProShare Awards. First’s Reward & Pensions team has also won the ‘Benefits Team of the Year’ award and its pension scheme was recognised as ‘Pension Scheme of the Year’ at both the Professional Pensions Awards and FT Business Awards and the ‘Best Investment Strategy’ at the Engaged Investor Trustee Awards.
Lisa Proctor joined FirstGroup in 2006 and is responsible for delivering its Reward package to 38,000 UK employees. Based at the company’s King Street Headquarters in Aberdeen, she holds an honours degree in law, an economics MSc in Finance and Investment Management from the University of Aberdeen, as well as an advanced qualification in Reward Management from the Chartered Institute of Personnel (CIPD).
