First UK Bus New Chief Operating Officer Announced

Jeroen Weimar is to join First UK Bus as Chief Operating Officer with effect from 11th June 2012.


Jeroen joins from Serco where he was Managing Director of its UK transport business with revenues of £530m employing over 7000 people.  His responsibilities included the National Traffic Control Centre, the Docklands Light Railway, the Barclays Cycle Hire Scheme and Serco’s joint ventures with Abellio that operate Merseyrail and Northern Rail.


Prior to joining Serco he was Transport for London’s Chief Operating Officer for Enforcement and Compliance, including transport policing and community safety, civil traffic enforcement across London’s major road network as well as revenue protection on London’s bus network.
