Award Win for Greyhound

27 May 2012

Greyhound, the luxury low cost coach operator, scooped one of the main awards at last month’s UK Coach Awards – the ‘Oscars’ of the coach industry.

Greyhound, which runs regular services between the Solent and London, was presented with the award for ‘Coach Marketing’ for its promotional work and in particular promoting its customer service proposition.

Greyhound offers unrivalled product and service quality with a large range of cheap fares starting from £1, plus 50p booking fee.  Onboard features include leather seating, free wi-fi, power sockets and air-conditioning.  Greyhound coaches also have 41 seats rather than the 50 or so typically operated by other coach companies meaning 20% more leg room for customers.

Greyhound’s Marc Reddy said: “I’m delighted that Greyhound has won such an important award.  Greyhound is a quick, convenient, luxurious and value for money means of travel and it’s very pleasing that our efforts to provide such high quality travel have been recognised by the coach industry.”

The UK Coach Awards 2012 took place at the Ramada Piccadilly Hotel, Manchester, April 19. The evening was compered by BBC Breakfast's Carol Kirkwood and the awards presented by Tom Jenkins, Executive Director of the European Tour Operators Association. The event was attended by over 200 representatives from the coaching and coach tourism industry.
