Greyhound Canada today announced a new interline agreement with Alsask Bus Services Ltd. Alsask Bus Services will now provide daily Greyhound passenger service between Calgary, Alberta and Alsask, Saskatchewan stopping at Greyhound Courier Express agency locations in more than a dozen cities.
Customers can book their travel seamlessly between Greyhound and Alsask Bus Services routes using Greyhound’s ticketing system. This interline agreement is a result of last year’s modernization of intercity bus service in Alberta. “This agreement leverages our strong network of agency locations allowing us to provide customers with more transportation options across Alberta and Saskatchewan,” said Stephen Hutchings, director of western passenger operations, Greyhound Canada.
The new partnership provides communities along these routes with enhanced transportation options connecting customers in Calgary with Greyhound’s network of scheduled routes across Canada. The communities that will benefit include Airdrie, Irricana, Bieseker, Carbon, Drumheller, Morin, Delia, Craigmyle, Hanna, Youngstown, Cereal, Oyen and Sibbald. Customers in Alsask can also make connections with the Saskatchewan Transportation Company for their scheduled service within the province.
Additionally, Greyhound Courier Express (GCX) continues to offer its shipping services across Canada, including communities in Alberta and Saskatchewan that have experienced discontinued bus service. GCX, a division of Greyhound Canada, now has more options for customers to choose from, such as later pick-up times and earlier delivery times.
“GCX offers a fast, convenient and economical way to ship packages at competitive rates and we’re committed to providing our customers across Canada with the quality, expedited service upon which they have come to rely.” said Dave Phillips, vice president, GCX.
